I love that you can rent a car with a pretty good amount of miles on it (instead of almost brand new) and thereby get a great deal on the pricing. My recent rental had close to 40K miles on it, but everything worked like new. And I was ""upgraded"" to an SUV, which I didn| t really want at first. But as things turned out, it was very helpful to have the extra space in the back (with seats that folded down) so that I could move boxes from a storage space to a friend| s house.

The pickup time became a huge issue. Closed at midnight. We were delayed. We got there at midnight but caused a lot of stress

As I always do with rentals, I looked over the car carefully before driving off and took a few pics for reference. No particular scratches or dents of note, but the car| s exterior was filthy. A dense grease spot on the top of the body, about the size of a quarter, initially looked like a rust spot. I rubbed it with my finger to check it out, and my finger came away all dark and greasy. Gross! A Dollar employee was out there and I asked him to take a look. He agreed that somehow the car hadn| t been washed before my pickup. Advised me to take some pics, which I did, as mentioned. Cleanliness aside, the car was fine for getting around in. Good pickup in traffic, AC worked fine, appreciated the backup camera.
