Economy Car Rental in Frankfurt

This was my first rental in Germany and I was surprised about how smooth and fast it all worked out. Of course, they asked me about extra insurances but when I declined no more pushing. I was helped by Ivan, very friendly and helpful ! Next rental will be again with Alamo !

I arrived early and my car was not yet returned or ready. I was told to come back in an hour. I came back 40 minutes later and it still was not there I received an upgrade but a manual transmission which was not a problem. Aoveall a good experience.

Overall, I was very pleased with the transaction and how easy it was to checkout the vehicle. Options were offered and well explained , and it was easy to follow the instructions of where to pick up the car. While there was a service counter on Terminal 1 (FRA airport), but it was not occupied and I had to travel to Terminal 2. A little inconvenient but luckily, I did only have one small carry-on bag with me. Drop off was absolute amazingly easy to find and quick! Only tip I| d like to offer: Nobody was there to receive the drop off cars. Only two signs with an arrow pointing in a direction to the Wheego office. But no office was in either direction that the different signs pointed to. Thus, it would have been helpful having placed a note on each parking spot with instructions to lock or not lock the car and dropping of the keys at the KeyDropStation. That could have saved some 10-15 minutes of scratching my head and wandering around about what I should do. But overall, I am absolutely pleased with their service, price was just unbeatable, even with an extra $10charge for early pick up (I booked pick up time later than needed to be on the save side so not to lose my reservation in case my plane arrives late). The Renault Clio was an amazing fun experience driving. The 6th gear felt like driving an automatic, very responsive to speed adjustment, no matter up or down), very comfortable driver seat, quiet cabin and very stable on the road even when driving at higher speeds. Very thrifty in gas mileage ( a welcomed plus at high gas prices in Germany), and spacious interior to easily fit luggage (and extra persons if needed). The only downside: Radio reception was lousy allowing only one station at a time that faded out quickly as traveling the highways. I believe the antenna was missing. And the electronic display was tedious to operate, which surprised me as I assumed that driving safety is a priority in Europe. A simple Radio Volume regulation needed the use of my gl

My flight to the FRA airport arrived late. The Enterprise dealership closes at 11pm. By the time I picked up my luggage and walked to the Enterprise Counter, it was already 11:10pm. I met Tom closing the gate for the day. Tom went above and beyond and reopened the department and processed the paperwork for me to get my rental. He was very professional and respectful while he processed the paperwork with a smile. Such extraordinary service is rare to come across nowadays. I totally recommend Tom for his great character and customer service. During the car rental return, Niko was very professional and did a great job closing the paperwork in a timely fashion so I could be able to catch my flight in time.
