This was our first rental through economy bookings and I was nervous after paying for the car then reading a slew of negative reviews. I called Avis to verify our reservation and that it was prepaid before our trip. The process to get the car, drop it off etc was excellent. They even refunded the hold in my credit card the same day as retuning the car. I would Definitely rent from them again.
It went off without a hitch. I booked online and got confirmation within minutes. Got another confirmation with avis within a few hours. Got another confirmation the day before my trip. Picked up the car at the airport and returned it without any problems. After booking I had never heard of the company before so I looked online and saw a bunch of bad reviews. I was kind of worried about what I got myself into. I immediately went on to avis.com and there was a confirmation there. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones but I can| t complain about anything with this company. It all went smoothly.
Only one issue. I bought car insurance on line while booking the car. I have it in writing I have full coverage but when I was at the Dollar reception she gave me the idea my coverage was not full coverage and needed to buy more insurance with Dollar.
The rental company showed prices in US and Euros. The price for the rental was less than may other companies for the same car.
My car pickup was quick, once I got to the agent. The process was quick and easy. No hard sales to add features made the process great.
Coming in and out is very good . People excellent. But before you take the car out there rental lot take pics of any dents , scratches, scuff marks, paint damages , it was useful when I returned it they noticed a scuff mark glad I had pics when I picked it up also made a small video clip . It was great that they upgraded me to Kia full size, as there was nothing else available but suvs. Yes, I had to wait till it s cleaned. But it was no more than 15 min.
Very easy and smooth process from start to finish. Cost was incredibly less expensive than other car rentals. We rented the Chevy Spark and it was a great little car for navigating Maui. Cost less than $30 to fill up on gas! Fast and convenient return and we enjoyed taking the tram to the airport. Highly recommended!
They were there waiting for us at the airport. They took us to the car rental agency, and we were in and out in 10 minutes. They staff was very friendly. The car ran great, and we had no problems with the return of the car and getting a ride promptly back to the airport.

Best deal and everything went well. Staff was friendly and helpful. ACE is located away from the airport, but its actually better than waiting in the long line for the other rental companies at the airport. I prefer the short walk and short shuttle than getting on the crowded tram and waiting in the long lines. SUPER fast drop off. The only issue was my fault (went to AVIS instead).

Initially the AVIS receptionist tried to issue my wife and I an Electric Vehicle. Stating we wouldn| t need any recharge. I refused to accept an Electric Vehicle, as the electrify had been shutdown on Maui| s Westside (Exactly where we were staying) . We| d also booked tickets at the MACC and I knew we| d be doing some commuting. We| d spoken with my niece Upcountry Kula, and decided not to visit as parking at her place was very tight and we| d been issued a Ford Explorer. Anyway, all went well! Kahului AVIS Staff are always friendly! Return was a breeze.
