Carla at Thrifty was great. She was very professional and helpful under pressure of being the only agent servicing customers.
When I first arrived, they told me to go pick out a car in a row, and there were no cars in that row. I paid for a midsize and I was sent to the economy row. I went back in and asked how much more to get a car in the next row and paid an additional fee for an upgrade. The car was a nice car, but it smelled like smoke. The lady checking me in was very helpful but the people on the lot were trying to tell me that they were midsize cars when the sign said economy.
Everything worked as planned. Just wished DTW had car rentals on site. You have to haul bags on a shuttle off site for all car rental companies

The email said I needed to print the voucher, but I was unable to since I had been traveling. The printed voucher was not required actually, very much a relief.
Great fast and speedy service. Especially for it to be a Christmas Day reservation. Staff was pleasant and enjoyable.
