I have read a lot of negative comments but honestly,I was very surprised by how smooth everything went. A little ""bump""at the end regarding a wheel cap that fail off while driving from the rental car place(the very first drive of that car) to the hotel.I did not think it was my responsibility because I have not hit any curbs or potholes . Even if I already bought and installed another set of 4 caps with the same decal ,(and I have returned the remaining 3 original caps)they really wanted me to pay 66 euro for the one missing cap. I had no choice, I did not have much time to argue with the guy as I was in a hurry to get to the airport so I have accepted to pay for it. Other than that, everything went better than expected after reading all those negative reviews. I| m just telling you simply, my experience with this car rental place.

The Klasswagen experience itself was fine. Courteous people, good vehicle, good service. The initial pickup was problematic, because of the insurance issue (see negative comments) but the drop off at the end was simple and smooth. Pick up and drop off at the airport were great too!
The deal with you, and this is not the first time, was absolutely fine. The price is excellent. You met my standards. And I will continue to rent cars through you. I travel every month to Romania and other places. But there is a problem: you are not always aware of the behavior of the companies from which you receive the car. And here you need to put more emphasis. I purchased the rental and also full and comprehensive insurance for all damage or deductible. Moreover, since I do not take risks or do not always understand what will happen at the end of the rental, I purchased additional insurance to prevent deductibles even in the travel insurance I took out and paid an extra $22. I traveled happily and expecting everything to be fine. It really was not like that. At the rental company, I received service from a representative named David. From the first moment he said that he did not accept or respect your insurance and that it was insufficient and that I might pay dearly for any damage that might occur. Therefore, he demanded that I rent the car or their insurance again at a cost of 170 euros and another 100 euros as a deposit. I insisted and said that was unacceptable to me. I grabbed the keys and went to the hotel. It was 11:00 PM at night. And he continued to border on harassment. Finally he gave in, but his attitude was very negative.
The car was clean and ready at time . She was worm when we arrive with the satel . Very good service.

This romanian company Autonom was not the cheapest but had very good reviews. Other companies have extremely low prices which do not make sense and feel more like a trap. The rental booth is inside the airport and the clerk was ver cooperative. When I told him that I have coverage on my credit card, he did not insist on selling me extra insurance and in fact, with this company the car is insured except the excess which again is much less than other companies, only 1100 Euro. I reserved an Opel Astra manual, but they gave me an upgrade which is a VW T-Cross. The car was new, only 13k km on it and the performance of this 3 cyl turbo is mindblowing. The consumption is amazing, between 5 and 6l / 100km even if you drive a bit faster. I did not have to wash the car before returning it. Many other rental car companies in Romania do request this, All in all an amazing experience and they are open 24h.
