Electric Car Rental in Australia

First time driving an electric car. Loved it. Receptionist coinfirmed there was EV charging at my hotel as vehicle was only 50 percent charged up.

When my Qantas flight from Darwin to Perth was cancelled and we were rebooked for ggd following day, I called SixT to advise I can| t pick up car till next day, but my booking was cancelled after 24 hr, but i was still charged full fee even though its no fault on my part, so I waited on the phone a second time and it was rebooked after i explained it again, but that was frustrating.

The electric car was very easy to drive and most economical. We were disappointed with the net-work of Chargers driving from Brisbane to Toowoomba. They were far apart and not easily accessible. In some cases the chargers we were directed to by our navigation system were 7 kWh chargers which would take a very long time to charge. We didn’t even try.

Staff good once you got to them. But V hard to get them by phone. Several numbers are listed for Sixt but, esp after 4.00 in Qld, heard to get through to anyone.
