If you have an accident when driving overseas, using an unofficial IDP may invalidate your insurance. Official IDPs are issued exclusively in the Emirates by the ATCUAE. Don`t be duped into obtaining your permit from false agents and vendors.

International Driving Permits are available in the UAE from ATCUAE offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai & Sharjah, from Emirates Post Offices and a number of other ATCUAE agents. Remember: visitors cannot use their national license for driving purpose in the Emirate without having the additional permit.
