I appreciate that after waiting 2 hours for our car that when they didn’t have our explorer they gave us a jeep and gave us a ticket for free gas on the return.

I was a little disappointed about the car downgrade and waiting in line nearly two hours to pick it up but overall it was a good value for the money.
I was very skeptical about this at first but once we were there the supplier offered an upgrade to a premium vehicle for a few dollars more. It was an awesome experience. Especially since our other travel companions rented through national companies and ended up getting the run around and shafted for over 2hrs at pick up!!
Where do I start!! First of the whole rating of my experience was based off one interaction with Roelen. He was soooo attentive and even noticed it was my birthday in a few days and went out of his way to help with the upgrade of my rental. But wait that’s not all, he then also provided all the great places to go to from sights to best foods in Maui. Let’s talk about the spiffy outfit he had on as well, very professional, very classy, very demure. The cherry to the top was to get in my rental and realize the adorable birthday card he wrote. Really out the meaning to Ohana. I would like Sixt to know they have a valued employee that deserves all the best things starting with a raise. There were no cars available when we arrived for pickup but got upgraded to a better model in the garage area. Very happy!

Overall, a very positive experience renting from Dollar in Kona. We waited a little while for the shuttle, but once it arrived it was empty and uncrowded since we didn’t have to wait for luggage. Check-in at the counter was quick with only a short line. The car was clean, ready to go, and exactly what we needed for our trip—reliable for beach days and capable of handling the steep drives up to coffee farms. Gas mileage was also better than expected for the size of the vehicle. The standout part of the experience was the customer service when our return flight was cancelled last minute. I was able to call and extend the rental by 24 hours at no extra cost, which took a lot of stress out of the situation (even though we ultimately didn’t need the extension). Would happily rent from Dollar in Kona again.
Well, they didn| t have our car, so they gave us something bigger but the engine developed a knock which sounded serious so I took it in to exchange and they were kind about it and gave us something smaller than we had originally paid for. So probably on average, worked out fine.
Very pleasant staff to deal with, I was in and out of the rental in less than 10 minutes to pick up the vehicle.

Lucky Own customer service is great! They came and got us by the airport and dropped us quickly. They actually upgraded me from a Toyota Rav4 to a Toyota Highlander. The vehicle was in pristine condition and a lot of fun to drive. Overall they were very accommodating and friendly and priced right! I would for sure rent again.

Great experience! We got a great price on a mid-sized SUV (Toyota Rav4) with SixT, a rental car company we| ve never used before. But the staff were all excellent and helpful. Since they didn| t have any Rav4| s available when we went to pick up the vehicle, Roelen, the rental agent gave us a free upgrade to a brand new Hyundai Santa Fe. It was excellent! And the drop off was easy and smooth, just like what we| ve experienced with other rental car agencies.
